The opening ceremony of IPL (Indian Premier League) Eighth Season is going to held at the Salt Lake Stadium, aslo known as the Yuva Bharati Krirangan at Kolkata on Tuesday.The schedule of event is to start at 7.30 pm in the evening. Many of big stars like Farhan Akhtar, Shahid Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Pritam and Hrithik Roshan are going to perform. This is the second time IPL opening is going to held in Culcutta. The first match of the IPL is going to be played by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on April 8. KKR the defending champion is ready to defend the title, that was their second title after defeating Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in the final of the 2014.

KKR have altered the whole stadium facade, put up a giant banner of Gautam Gambhir, Jacques Kallis, Robin Uthappa, Sakib Al Hasan, Umesh Yadav and Piyush Chawla in their title-winning pomp.
